O.M.A. Ghusl Ghusl Ghusl GHUSL GHUSL!
Cant tell you how much I hated it at first being a newly wed -Blushes
** Blank Stare***
Still kinda do lol
-. Constantly wetting my hair
- Cant leave my hair straight for more than a day.
- Less trips to the hair dressers, as id like
- Messing up the longevity of the good ole perm
- Making my hair feel 24/7 like a bristol brush
yes yes yes Me and Ghusl have a love and hate Relatonship!
If you have the same issues as me than here are a few simple to follow tips that will help prevent hair breakage and give you easy to manage hair, recommended by my hair dresser. After testing it on myself - Dare I say She was right!
Do not let your hair air dry / If you must Wrap it or put it into braids
Do not comb your hair rough when it is wet - it is at its weakest state making it more vulnerable to breakage and cutticle damage
Do not Do not Do not wash it with shampoo each time (Thats not even from the sunnah)
Get a good blow dryer with a comb - depending on your budget you should invest in a good one that will last more than 3 months like the ones at shoppers/ and depending on your hair type will do the best job
Wrap your hair- If its short, it will not give it that curly finish that most like but it will keep it as straight as naturally possible
Message your scalp regularly- Keep the blood flowing to all area's and it prevents breakage and promotes hair growth. How well you care for your hair from the time it emerges from the root, plays a role in how healthy it is
Good Leave in Conditioner!!! Need I say more???
Depending on your hair type you should get good hair products that will keep your hair healthy and manageable. When you do wash your hair get a good PH balanced Shampoo ( Espeially for Ethnic hair)
After doing alot of research (And testing myself, friends like a guinea pig)on products. Asking some of Toronto's top hair stylists from salons: Azans, Jasma, Carla's Hair studio and etc, what works especially for ethnic hair, ive invested in many products I know will give you your moneys worth guranteed and promote healthy natural hair. If your interested hit me up and depending on your hair type, or diet- YES I SAID DIET ill recommend hair care products that are really good for you, or let you know if I have them in stock.
